Pachna Dam Dispute Resolved After Three-Day Protest Ends, Routes Restored in Karauli's Hindaun City

The Pachna Dam water release dispute in Karauli's Hindaun City has been resolved after three days of protests. Following government and administrative negotiations, road blockades were removed, routes reopened, and normal life began returning to the region. Internet services remain suspended as authorities monitor social media activity and maintain law and order.

A major breakthrough has emerged from Hindaun City in Karauli district following the Pachna Dam water release dispute, as protests that continued for three days were called off after successful negotiations by the Administration. Following discussions involving the Police, Administration, and political representatives, normal movement has started returning to the region, with major routes gradually becoming operational.

The Hindaun-Gangapur, Hindaun-Karauli, and Hindaun-Mahwa routes have started functioning again after the resolution of the protest. However, as a precautionary measure, internet services remain suspended in the affected areas from midnight.

Internet services were suspended after offensive comments were circulated on social media following the Pachna Dam dispute. The Administration is continuously monitoring the situation. The suspension order will remain effective until midnight on the scheduled date. Bharatpur Divisional Commissioner Nalini Kathotia issued the order to control the spread of rumours and prevent inappropriate remarks on social media platforms.

Internet services have also been suspended in Wazirpur, Gangapur City, and Bamanwas Tehsil areas since midnight. The Administration stated that the decision was taken in view of concerns related to misinformation and inflammatory content on social media.
